The SCC committee have reviewed the latest ECB guidelines for opening up of outdoor facilities at Cricket Clubs in England and are proposing to run a 2-Week Trial of limited outdoor nets starting Saturday 23rd May, based on the following:
Nets will be open from:
Sat/Sun/Bank Holidays: 10am - 5pm.
Wed/Thurs/Fri: 2pm - 7pm
Each session will last 45 minutes, starting on the hour, with 15 minute gap to allow for appropriate sanitisation of the facilities and reduce risk of compromising social distancing
Players should not arrive more than 5minutes before their booked time.
Only 2 Nets will be open in each session, with only 1 Batsman and 1 Bowler allowed in each Net (ie maximum of 4 players in the Net facility at one time).
The 1st session will use Nets 1 and 3; the 2nd session will use Nets 2 and 4, alternating thereafter
Players must provide all their own equipment (with the exception of Wickets), including cricket balls. There must be no sharing of equipment between players.
The SCC club house, including toilet facilities, will remain closed and no access will be allowed. There will not be any changing facilities available.
All sessions will be supervised by Luke Wilkinson on behalf of the Club; Luke will manage entry to and exit from the Club ground, as well as supervising the Net sessions.
All Juniors must be accompanied by an Adult; 2 Juniors in the same Net lane is not allowed, even if they are from the same Household.
Sessions must be booked for 2 people (ie for 1 session in 1 net) in advance. Only one booking can be made per week (subject to change). Bookings will also be managed by Luke, who will keep a spreadsheet of the bookings and maintain a record of people attending to facilitate contact tracing should it be required.
Luke can be contacted via telephone (mob 07718331041)
Luke will advise of available sessions and confirm bookings once made.
If you cannot make a booked session, please let Luke know as early as possible so he can make alternative arrangements.
Bookings are restricted to SCC members only ie those with playing membership for 2019 or those subsequently approved for membership by the SCC Committee.
If you feel unwell or have any of the symptoms associated with Covid-19, you must not attend. Equally, if a member of your family who you live with is unwell or showing symptoms of Covid-19 you must not attend either. Please advise Luke that you are unable to attend.
There will be a small charge of £5 per net per session, payable in cash on arrival or on-line to SCC using the following Bank details for payment:
Acct Name: Stevenage Cricket Club
